Homes in Hebden Bridge

Hebden Bridge is a former mill town in the Upper Calder Valley, known for its bohemian character. Its housing is built of local gritstone, and the town is famous for its over-and-under houses, where two dwellings are stacked on a steep hillside, one entered from the lower street and the other from the upper street. Stone terraces and weavers' cottages climb the steep valley sides, and much of the town is in a conservation area.
Heptonstall is a historic hilltop village with stone cottages, while Mytholmroyd and Todmorden have stone terraces and newer homes. Old Town and Cragg Vale offer rural homes and farmhouses. Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd were badly flooded in 2012, 2015 and 2020, and flood defences have been built since.
Areas we cover include Heptonstall, Mytholmroyd, Todmorden, Old Town, Cragg Vale.
