Why we work this way
Most survey comparison sites pass your details to several firms, who then call or email you with quotes. You compare, chase availability, then arrange access with the estate agent yourself. We think that's backwards. You want a qualified surveyor at the property as soon as possible, at a fair price, with as little admin as possible.
Who the surveyors are
We work with local independent surveyors and small practices, many of whom left large national firms to work for themselves. Every surveyor we book is RICS regulated or a member of the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA) and carries professional indemnity insurance. Your report is addressed to you and the surveyor is responsible for it.
How payment works
You pay us once, when your booking is confirmed. We pay the surveyor after your report is delivered. The surveyor pays us a fee from the price, so you never pay extra for using us.
Frequently asked questions
Do you charge me more than going direct to a surveyor?
No. You pay the fixed price shown on the form. The surveyor pays us a fee from that price for finding and booking the work.
Who carries out my survey?
A local, independent surveyor who is RICS regulated or an RPSA member. We tell you who they are when we confirm your booking, and their report is addressed to you.
What if no surveyor is available?
We tell you straight away and suggest the earliest date we can get, or a nearby surveyor. You don't pay until a booking is confirmed.
Can I talk to the surveyor?
Yes. Most surveyors are happy to talk you through the report once it's delivered, and we pass on any specific concerns before the inspection.
What happens to my details?
We share them only with the surveyor we book for you. We don't sell your details to multiple firms.
